Megabit vs Mebibit: Why Some Results Show 131,072 Bytes
If a converter says one “megabit” equals 131,072 Bytes, it has used a binary mebibit while labeling it as a decimal megabit. Those are different units. Mbps in internet plans means decimal megabits per second, so the correct network-rate conversion is 1 Mbps = 125,000 B/s.
