The calculator is designed for quick estimation and education—especially when comparing “internet speed” numbers to “download speed” numbers.

2) Important notes about accuracy

• Bits vs bytes: Internet plans are often shown in megabits (Mbps), while file transfers are often shown in megabytes (MB/s). 1 byte = 8 bits.
• Decimal conventions: This tool uses common networking/SI units (1 Mbps = 1,000,000 bits/s). Some systems also use binary units (MiB, GiB), which can display different numbers.
• Real-world overhead: Actual download/upload speeds can be lower than theoretical conversions due to protocol overhead, Wi-Fi quality, routing, congestion, server limits, and device performance.

You agree that the Service provides estimates and generalized conversions and should not be relied on as a guarantee of real-world throughput.

3) Your responsibilities
